Goddam Mariners. One game. If they didn't blow 20 of 63 saves, they Smells Like Teen Spirit right into the playoffs.

Kind of a Gift of the Magi situation at the deadline. The help they got seemed to spark them, but they had to lose their closer. Mostly it's Kolten Wong's fault, and I'm always slow to blame a fellow Rainbow Warrior.

Jack Clark! Tommy Herr! Ozzie Smith! Willie McGee! Man, I miss Mike Bush and Art Holliday. That's a nice sweater, Art.

Even though it's been years since he made that move; I still get surprised when I am back in the St. Louis area and see Mike Bush working as an anchor instead of the Sports guy.

I love how Vince went from drunk celebrant to serious interviewee back to drunk celebrant. He truly did everything fast.

Well, except for that stupid tarp incident...

Same! I'm always like "Wait, you're the sports guy. You're not allowed to talk about a stabbing downtown."

Right...Dick Ford and Karen Foss should be anchoring; Deanne Lane with a special report about kittens; Bob Richards† should do the weather and Mike Bush sports with Art Holliday in the field. This is the way.
