I was wrong. What an snoozefest.
But if boring soccer is your thing, the Timbers (who couldn't score a goal if they kicked the ball in the net) are playing on ESPN tomorrow. I'm not sure if the cameras will capture what entitled aholes a shocking number of those Sounders fans are (their mantra, really: 'No one likes us, we don't care.') But I can report from the ground.
The day is ours!
I've been carjacked by naked meth-heads with more class than Fredy Montero.
From Adam Richman (Man vs. Food) on twitter: Watching @MLS game between #Timbers and #Sounders - Freddy Montero is an absolute punk. Excellent booking. Wish Palmer used restraint though
Have to say all the Sounders fans I encountered today were super cool. Not the case last year in Portland or Seattle for me.

Hey do you remember that time when Freddy Montero disappeared for a really long stretch of the season and the Sounders went in the tank and then started being interested again and they were really good? AKA every year? Sell him and sign a DP striker.
I never want to wait on a entire bar full of piece of [expletive] European customers ordering one drink and an appetizer for 3 hours, then tipping me 5% or less. /industry rant
Soccer-wise, that was a really boring game. I thought Italy would lose, but at least have a nice goal for some excitement. All in all, several very entertaining games over the course of the tournament.
