I really like the Miley Cyrus version of You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome

It's quite good. I fully expected her to attempt to affect Dylan's voice and embarrass everyone. Ke$ha's 'Don't Think Twice' --another scary proposition-- is alright too.

Caught the last 5 songs of Iron & Wine's show through a gap in the gate downtown. Pretty great and free.

I've been looking online for the live version of Naked as We Came they did for an encore. It was absolutely beautiful. They sang some vocal ambiance after the chorus. Can't find it anywhere.

I like Adele's music and think she has a great voice, but it seems like people go out of their way to say how much they love Adele. I don't get it.

Now Jay Farrar (Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt), Yim Yames (aka Jim James of My Morning Jacket) and the lesser-known Anders Parker and Will Johnson have taken Guthrie journal entries/poems for this stand-alone genre-defying album bristling with Dylanesque rock (the fierce VD City) and musical nods to REM (Angel Blues) and the Byrds/Eagles (the breeze-blown Old LA), while also pinning in smart alt-folk ballads (the falling apart Revolutionary Mind), the droning folkadelic title track and an eerily beautiful Chorine.

Anyway - a Jay Farrar/Woodie Guthrie song called "San Antone Meat House" HAS to be great.

I'd like to hear Adele have a single about something other than total heartbreak. Her voice lends well to that theme, but you can only do it so much before I get tired of hearing how much relationships suck over and over.
