I was lucky enough to snag tix for one of sturgill simpson's show at the ryman....they both sold out in a matter of minutes.

I know it's [expletive] for artists, lo-fi and everything, but I love Spotify, man. I just added Sturgill Simpson to check out later. I've discovered more music through Spotify than anything else, which is super helpful now that I'm not young and in these streets anymore.

Nashville is becoming so hollywood. The only time you hear REAL country is when our local independent alternative station plays it.

You won't hear artists like kacey musgraves, sturgill simpson, wade bowen, etc on mainstream radio stations and thats sad really.

But then again, i guess nashville has always been about the commercializing country, and whatever is bringing in to money.

Me too. I just wish the interface was better. My three months are up next week, I'll try Google's free month, then maybe apple's. Then make a decision.

I found a few old articles, one from the guardian in particular, after seeing Isbell had the #1 country album. I foolishly thought country radio had discovered good music.
