Anyone care to vouch for it? Is it much better or different from HL2, graphically and gameplay-wise? Portal comes with it, and I know a lot of people liked that.
i was under the impression that orange box has always been 30$...because it has like 5 "mini games"...all i know though is: it's a very popular title and that Valve made it (valve makes left 4 dead, an amazing game)...

if you haven't already:

You might be right about the $30. I think HL2 was the last game I got for the old Xbox, and I was still wrapped up in other 360 games when Orange Box came out.

You can get Orange Box for 20 shipped at newegg. I heard the game portal makes makes the purchase worthwhile and everything else is gravy.

I got Red Faction: Guerilla for 40 two days ago. neogaf has been raving about it.

Let me know how that is, I liked the original Red Faction on PS2

I just finished up the first area on Red Faction. I'm liking it so far. Tearing buildings down is a blast, but I hope things get a little more varied as I go.

I just got Red Faction for PS3 this morning as a Father's Day gift. I hope he likes it. (Husband, not father. Although any interest in technology would make thinking of gifts for my dad easier)

I've been playing Burnout Paradise quite a bit lately. It's the first racing game I've enjoyed since the SNES days. It's basically an arcade racer with a GTA open world. There's lots of different fun race types and objectives. I suspect the gameplay will get a little repetitive, but you can pick BP up for 20 bucks, so it's well worth the money. If you decide to buy it make sure you download all the free updates. The developer added a ton of new features and enhancements.

This is pretty much outside the realm of this thread, but I've really gotten into Animal Crossing: City Folk after watching, then directing, the kids playing it. If anyone's familiar, I have a question for you.

I play it with my little brother. IT is the most pointless game in the world, I rarely have fun playing it at all...but I fished/caught bugs/and upgraded my house like my life depended on it.

How may I be of service?

So my friend is trying to convince me to get an Xbox. I can get an Xbox elite, 1 controller, Halo 3 and Fable 2 for $339 from Dell, is this a good deal or should I hold out for something better? Is Fable 2 any good? I already have a wii so I'm really on the fence about grabbing one.
