So, I guess I never followed up. Georgetown lost a really close one and my nephew played a really solid game except for one huuugge mistake that ultimately cost them the game. If you watched you knew it as soon as he came out for the ball but didn't fully commit. Oh well, great experience. Congrats to Indiana. And to SLUH grad Luis Soffner for his MVP award.

He is invited again to the USMNT camp next week but I think he's planning on pulling out because he's really feeling dinged up and worn out. I wish he had a real mentor to talk to to let him know if that was a good idea or not. Stubborn kid though so I don't know if he'd listen.

If I thought Blatter was a bit of an ahole for expletiving on MLS, I don't even know what to think of him for basically calling Boateng/Milan cowards.

This Chelsea vs. Ballboy story is great. You know what would fix it? If stoppage time was ever remotely accurate. I know they'll never stop the clock when the ball goes dead because that's for savages and the unkempt (and those that don't appreciate the sporting skill of writhing in fake pain), but why don't they take measures to be sure stoppage time is very accurate? It would help the game in a lot of ways.

They have the tech to put a chip in the ball that would fix goal line controversies and record extra time exactly but FIFA and the major FA's across the world won't budge.
