I saw AP's 7th inning AB vs. the Yanks last night. Nice bit of hitting to drive in a run with 2 strikes on him.

I believe that AP's numbers to start this year are better than his 2011 numbers at the same point.

He had a 112 OPS+ last year in March/April.

He's sitting at 85 right now (granted, he still has 10 games or so before April is over).

He's only walked 3 times, in 48 at-bats, and he has zero home runs.

Jamie Moyer qualifies as a former Cardinal. He's at 268 wins now. It could happen.

The day Jamie Moyer gets to 300 wins needs to be the day that 300 wins ceases to be an automatic HoF entry.

To reach 300 he'll either have to have a monster season (or be the beneficiary of the mother of all flukes) in his age 49 season, or he'll have to win 15+ games after his 50th birthday. He'll never make the Hall of WAR, but that would be [expletive] awesome.

He seems to be in pretty good shape and he's got a fresh tendon in his elbow. He could pitch into his mid 50s.

Jason Marquis's teammates gave him 4 runs in the top of the 1st against the Yankees. He might have a 10 cent head, but he knows the spirit of giving as he gives back 3 of them in the bottom half with the chance for more.
