Blues were down a few players due to injury, and NYR is a legitimate cup contender. Keep going strong boys!

Trading away Elliott was a move I thought might hurt the Blues, and I'll admit I don't know much about Hutton but he seems like he has the skills to be a great backup and has the ability to fill in if Allen (and likely when) goes down for a bit at some point.

A guy that backs up Pekka Rinne isn't going to get much time period since Rinne is a horse out there, but that doesn't mean the Blues didn't snag up a really competent backup (granted its been one game, but I like his attitude, confidence, and fundamentals).

I would've been okay with moving Yak up, but if that 3rd line keeps up, I don't care.

Weird. I had just read nhl.com's preview which put Steen on the 2nd. Probably won't matter, but I wouldn't break up Stastny and Tank right now as they are scoring in bunches. I assume they want to keep the 3rd line intact because they've shown some good chemistry the first few games. That's a LOT of speed on the wings with Paajarvi and Yakupov.

Yeah. Rangers looked better than us, too. We could easily be 2-2 instead of 3-0-1

Bernie noted something this morning that was promising though... Said that Yakupov got moved up and is already earning more trust from the coaches. That's great to see.
