Right, and Mo has said they need to fill a spot before the offseason. Acquiring three pitchers at once is a huge ask even if the money wasn't an issue and of course it will be.

I think the cardinals are in a decent spot. Pdj should be moved because contenders need bats and we have a surplus, but worst case he picks up the option and moves him later. (Probably best likely value nowish though?)

Sorta same with Jack. Worst case is the qo pick or a one year qo prove it deal for him at what, basically waino’s salary iirc, in a year when we need lots of starters. One could do much worse than Jack.

I’d like to see them both traded, but I think they can wait until they get a deal they like.
