Post news about players in jeopardy of losing their jobs, increasing their playing time, and being called up from the minors here. I.e. Texas is already considering replacing Francisco at closer and it's also surprising that Edmonds is considered the FT RF with Hart seeing playing time against lefties.

I moved Mike Napoli to the bench in our league. It sounds like Scoscia's not going to be starting him for the time being.

Gordon Beckham is playing 2B this year, so depending on your league's rules, he should qualify at 2B soon as well as 3B.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Joe Mauer (feel) was still sore, but feeling "better than yesterday."

Mauer is currently listed as day-to-day, but there's no indication when he'll return to the lineup. Wislon Ramos, who had four hits in his major league debut on Sunday, will continue to fill in until he's ready.

David Hernandez (BAL) has moved from a starter role to the bullpen. he was a guy who was not going late into games and was getting rocked in the later innings I guess, so a natural to be a bullpen guy where batters only see him once. Good velocity.

in my league, it's a day-to-day lineup, and its valuable to have relief appearances from vacant SP slots, so I picked him up on that alone, because he still slots in as a SP

so far from the pen,

2.0 innings, 3K's, 0 ER, 0 BBs
then
1.1 innings, 2K's, 0 ER, 0 BBs

and NOW scuttlebutt is that he may be groomed for a closer's role.

for someone who up until a few days ago was a crappy starter, you can snap this guy up for nothing and have a very high potential upside.
