Cool! will he strike out a ton? Probably. Will he hit a ton of awesome bombs? Hopefully. Is there any reason not to get him some MLB experience at this point? No!

I'm slightly surprised, because now if we have the upcoming lockout during next season, it's my understanding he wouldn't be able to play in the minors, being on the 40 man roster, preventing further seasoning.

He’s been on the 40 man since last year (to prevent him from the rule 5 draft)

I am stoked - it is about time. He has done everything he needs to do in the minors - maybe he can provide a spark down the stretch.

Coming up now won't affect his rookie eligibility so now is the time.
He has to play every day though Oli. Not like Velasquez or one of those.
