Then follows it up by King Monroe on a slider on a full count.

I can carry this thread for awhile, but my parents are driving up from StL to watch the game with me (and celebrate some birthdays, but that's not important). Once they arrive, my posting will be restricted...so somebody better step it up!

AP takes strike one, then swings at ball two.
Set up at 1-2...he lays off the slider that made him look bad in game one.
Pujols lays off the slider again. Full count.
Pujols...lays off ball four.
Second and first, one out, Edmonds up.

Edmonds takes a FB low and possibly outside for ball one.
Next pitch is a FB high and possbly outside.
Conference on the mound...
Get to him early, don't let him settle in!

FB taken for strike one...I would take again.
Edmonds does as well...FB in on the outside corner. Full count.
Payoff pitch, Edmonds fouls it off. Runners holding.
Edmonds flies out to shallow left...swung at a high FB that was likely ball four.
